In Seattle

Posted October 30, 2010

Spent an hour walking around downtown Seattle with Brandon (SWS). We found some pretty cool/funny shit. I love Seattle. I love the Space Needle. R.

The Canadian Rockies

Posted October 28, 2010

Today we took a 10 hour trip through the beautiful Canadian rockies on our way from Edmonton to Portland. The views were unreal. Saw a wild black bear and some huge Elks!

Tour Buddies: Part 2

Posted October 21, 2010

Awesome band from Michigan. These guys have a huge following here, and definitely know how to rock it on stage better than most. We became friends almost instantly – a great bunch of guys, and best of all they know how to party hard. Make sure you check ‘em out on their myspace page.

Tour Buddies: Part 1

Incredible band, incredible dudes. They’ve really helped us out on this tour, whether it be lending us equipment, helping with merchandising or even tour managing for some parts! Check ‘em out in these short videos we shot in Philadelphia, Unitarian Church. Check out Guiseppe’s mad stick skills in video 2.

…ZZZZONKED in New York City

Enter Shikari thrashing it in New York. So good.

A few photos we took while wandering about The Big Apple. Thanks to everyone who came and supported us! We really enjoyed the show, we hope to return soon – see you then.

Show Us Your Threads!

Posted October 14, 2010

A good friend of mine (Bram, pictured below) got lost somewhere in the Congo on his worldly travels a little while ago, and my first contact with him since was this photo he sent me yesterday reppin’ a LightsGoBlue shirt! What a hero. This sparked a little idea I thought might be cool…

We want EVERYBODY who owns an LGB shirt to send us a photo of yourself wearing it, anywhere you like. Whether it be in your bedroom, on your holiday, at a gig, with your friends, at a steaming house party, playing a show… anything! The weirder, the better. If you don’t own a shirt, buy one now from our ‘Store’ by clicking here! If you really can’t afford to, then make one yourself!? We’ll post every photo we receive in a photo gallery on our website once we feel have enough.

Send your pictures to ‘ photos@lightsgoblue.com ‘

IMPORTANT: Please remember to type in the subject of your email… ‘My LGB Tshirt’. If you put anything else, the email might get lost among all our other messages and won’t be included in the gallery! Have fun with this, and get Snappin’! R.

Summer House By The Lake, Georgia

Posted October 11, 2010

Day off today and we were driven (in the back of a pick-up truck) to our bus drivers friends’ summer house on a lake in Georgia. The lake was huge, warm and so beautiful. it was the perfect place to kick back and relax under the sweltering sun and nurse the hangovers. We jammed on the water all day with everybody, taking turns in driving the boat and thrashing the jet ski. My new favourite thing.

We swam about for a while after giving the jet ski a rest until we were told there were all kinds of snakes lurking in there, including rattle snakes. We didn’t go back in. We got the boat back to the summerhouse where the guys looking after us sorted out the most epic BBQ. We chatted for hours on the decking, and fished off the dock until it was time to get back to the bus. It was pretty much the most perfect day off we could’ve asked for!

Check out these photos from the lake (although they really don’t do it justice!) and a video of me going mental on the jet ski. R.

USA, We’ve Arrived

Posted October 9, 2010

Yesterday we flew 4218 miles in 9 hours from Heathrow, London to Atlanta, Georgia. Alex had a rougher time on this flight than most, as his tv monitor decided to stop working mid-flight. He entertained himself by drawing a nice picture though, we’ll upload it later. I managed to keep myself entertained with Toy Story 3, Get Him To The Greek, and Surf’s Up. I turned off the new Karate Kid about a quarter of the way through. We arrived in Atlanta completely knackered… it took about 2 hours to get our of the airport and another half hour to get to the Motel.

America’s Best Value Inn was not America’s best, I’m sure. It had a pool, but it was filthy. None the less, we’re still completely stoked to be here… and in 20 minutes the Shikari bus should be pulling up to save us and take us to the show. Psyched! Currently sitting in the lobby chatting to an interesting fellow named Eddie. He raps. Its awesome. Death Murder Bleed Motherfucker. Watch. R.

‘A Little Leaving Gift, Love Atticus’

Posted October 7, 2010

We took a little trip up to London this morning to meet with our friend Tony, who generously offered to hook us up with some Atticus gear before we jet off to America! Of course, we obliged. Now, with our wardrobes doubled in size, we’re looking sharp as anything and ready to take on the states!

We’re finally flying out tomorrow morning to catch up with Enter Shikari and the other bands in Atlanta. We couldn’t possibly be any more excited about this. Keep checking this page back daily for regular updates on what we’re getting up to, and comment via Facebook or Twitter.

Small gallery and a short video of our day today. Thanks Tony and Atticus Clothing.
